Tried again today to get tickets sorted out for LA and San Francisco, went to the STA office near work. Again the Air France reservation system seems to be telling lies, either the flights don’t exist or they are totaly booked up as well.
So I’m giving up on that plan, so it looks like it’s Spain for a week, and looking for a new flat in Cambridge in the secnd week of my holidays. On a plus now that I have virtually have some cash to spare I might even get an X-Box to tinker with. Not that it may be possible to run Linux on an X-Box without a modchip it’ definately worth looking into again. My main compulsion being the the X-Box Media Player project which already supports DivX and streaming media support.
