Couldn’t sleep last night had a killer toothache, eventaully dropped of to sleep around 5am. Which is not good, I decided at that point that I needed to rush to the dentist first thing in the morning, Of course the dentist surgury doesn’t open till 9:30 so I figured someone has to be there from 9 really, so I tried ringing to get an emergency appointment, luckly my plan worked. I was tol to be there for 9:45 which I managed no problem, however since the surgury is being renovated as well they where in a total state, managed to eventually see someone at about 11am.
After describing my symptoms and a quick examination the dentist couldn’t see anything wrong either. However she did say it’s probably an infection. So I had to get an X-Ray done, this meant haging around till atleast 12pm. Not a problem really, since the pain had sub-dued thanks to the pain killers I had around 2am. Once I got the X-Ray back, I was told my right wisdom tooth had totally decayed around the root, and my 1st Molar was also infected, not good. It’s amazing since I always thought my teeth where in relatively good shape since my teens, though I don’t know why I thought this since I had not been to a dentist since the winter of 2000.
I was presribed some antibiotics and told to keep taking the pain killers for a couple of days. Will need to have a root-canal op on the 1st Molar and the wisdom tooth may have to come out, though apparently I have to see a specialist for the Wisdom tooth. Sounds expensive either way so I best sort out mu Bupa cover in the next couple of days.
Ooh that sounds nasty. It’s making me nervous, because I am getting some tooth pain myself.
I had an appointment lined up for some treatment i.e. some drilling needed. This was supposed to be just before xmas, but I was sent sent out to work in Switzerland and forgot all about it. So now I have to ring up apologize and book another appointment. I am putting this off because I am scared. Scared of having a drilling, and scared that this time she’s gonna be angry!
