Big Update

It has been a while since my last entry so I thought I would write everything into a single entry.

I did manage to go to the Classic Gaming Expo a few weekends ago, a very cool event. Met some people I have seen in a while, also had the opportunity to have a look over arcade cabinet kits for MAME and things like that. Didn’t buy anything as such but did sign up for a subscription to Retro Gamer. This years event I think went down well, and next looks like it will be bigger and better.

On the movie front I have seen most of the big pictures that have been released. iRobot (I probably shouldn’t write it like that.) was quite good, not what I expected. I’m glad I didn’t know about Smith’s arm in the film.

Saw The Bourne Supremacy last weekend, and was just blown away. Again another excellent and mindfull action thriller. I hope they do make a third film however I think they have already deviated from the books considerably, so it will be interesting to see what they come up with.

Probably will go and see The Village either tonight or tomorrow night.

During this week went out bowling with the ex-APR crew, another fun night with a fairly big turn out. I took a camera with me with the intention of getting some photos however the camera managed to stay in my bag all night, because I forgot about it totally.

On the gaming front I got an Atari Lynx of eBay some weeks back with a bundle of old Atari games. Been playing Paperboy and Robotron a fair bit.

Finally got Metal Gear Solid : Twin Snakes on the Game Cube. I really like the MGS games, and this is great because it’s MGS with the MGS2 engine. Plus weapons and games features for MGS2 have also been incorporated.

Got my hands on Chronicles of Riddick on the X-Box yesterday have completed the first couple of chapters it is very nice game with some very Half Life features bunged in. Still haven’t fully decided on this game since it a good FPS with some nice gameplay elements just that it doesn’t seem that original. Having said that I do like the speaking interaction bits, similar to KoTR.

Work wise things are starting to get better, a new support person came aboard a few weeks ago. I think I might actually start getting some code out of the door in the next couple of weeks, even though it would seem a new hurdle has decided to appear in front of us. Our investors think we don’t have much of an image. So we are going to start spending a bit of time and money on things like websites and marketing. We’ll see how that goes.
