Well all of my bits arrived yesterday so I have been busy setting up the new computer.
The final spec is Athlon 64 3200+, 1Gb RAM, A-Bit KV8M Pro Motherboard, 160GB Serial ATA, 80 GB IDE, DVD-ROM, DVD+/-R/RW plus my old bits and pieces.
This time round I wanted a silent case so with some help I found out about Antec’s Sonata Silent Case. Which is pretty good. The only noise I get is from the DVD-ROM drives.
Having to put in XP just to do Doom 3 and Far Cry. Will go for FC 2 on the Linux side.
