Episode 3

Well I’m glad I’m not disappointed with Episode 3. The final part of the saga is very good. It is great to see all of the threads being tied before ‘A New Hope’. The special effects and battle scenes are probably the best in the series. The most important scene is the construction of Darth Vader, actually there are not enough of Vader in the suit, but I guess there is not much else they could show. Episode 3 really is the tradegy of Anakin Skywalker, the performances by Ewan Mcregor and Hayden Christian were good in most places. However when Hayden Christian and Natalie Portman are doing their loved up scenes, things just go wrong.

General Grevous looked terrible in places, however provided an important showdown scene with Obi-wan. Sam Jackson as Mace did a good job, the whole Emperor battle scene was great, butthen Hayden Christian steps in and under emphasises the importance of the scene. The Yodaisms did start to get on my nerves, however Yoda knows Chewy which is a revelation in my mind, since it never sort of comes up in the original trilogy. Another problem which is seems to happen alot when you make prequels is that the technology in the past seems better then in the current timeline.

Having airing my gripes is has to be said the Episode 3 does deliver, I really did enjoy it, and I will probably going to the cinema a few more times to see it again.
