MacWorld

Well everyones favourite rumor of Intel based iBooks proved to be false. instead Apple decided to update the Powerbooks instead, however they have also re-branded them as well. They have gone with the new name ‘MacBook Pro’ which I have to say sounds a little crap really. However if you think about it, it sort of makes sense I guess. So it is now likey that when the new iBook does arrive it will be called MacBook as well.

Apple have also popped an Intel cpu into the iMac as well. They claim it is 3 times faster than the G5 model, which I find hard to believe. People still seem to think Apple will be doing iPod updates at Mac events, which as I have been saying for a while that they won’t. Apple have created a big enough brand that they can do seperate announcements specific to the music sector.

Whilst on the subject of pies

Saw this ad the other day at the train station. Now I like innocent smooties as much as anyone else, but to say they are healthy as mung beans is not a great ad especially when you consider that mung beans are not all that tasty.

Fish Pie

Was in the mood for something hot for lunch, so I thought I would go for a microwave meal, was quite impressed with the selection of meals the student union shop actually had, so I thought I would go for seafood. Was taken by the claim made on the box, so I thought I would find out for myself. As it turns out the Admiral’s Pie is not half bad, and great value for money as well. So next time you want some radiated food go for this, here is a picture.

Happy New Year

Just realised that I have not put in an entry in nearly 2 months, so my page is actually blank. Don’t worry I have plenty of back posts, have been a busy bunny as per usual.

I had a great time over Christmas and New Year, back at work today after 3 weeks, so I’m trying to get back into the flow of things. Went over to Vancouver, Edmonton and Seattle for a couple of weeks just before christmas. Vancouver is a really cool city. Went skiing at Whistler, which was quite hard after nearly 13 years of not having skiied. The cool thing was that the hotel I was staying at was being used for filming the 3rd season finale of ‘The L Word’ so I got to sort off hang out with the cast and crew for a couple of days.

Was in Vancovuer and Whistler for 6 days, then I flew up to Edmonton for 3 days to see my Uncle and Aunt, it was -20C so I nearly died. Still managed to drag myself to all of the interesting sites, which was not hard since apart from the Mall there isn’t much really. Besides it was too cold to do anything really. After that I was back to Vancouver, then down to Seattle for 3 days. Doing all of the tourist things and all of my Christmas shopping which was good.

Got back to London on the 23rd, only to drive up to Bradford for the christmas holidays, then back to London on the 27th. Did a spell of shopping here as well, the got ready for New Year.
