Was up shopping around Regent Street this afternoon with my uncle so I thought we would drop into the Apple Store to have a look at the Macbook. First impressions are that the bigger screen really has not impacted things too mcuh, the weight is still lighter than the old iBook. The Black iBook unit does seem to suffer from marking easily, the unit I had a look at already had plenty of scrathes, which exposed the white plastic underneath. I still can’t understand why there is such a big price difference for the black model. I quite like the old white iBooks and I think that the new ones are still as distinctive compared to other laptop models. I think I will go for the white model, with some of the BTO options, however I will have to wait until I have got the new place all furnished.
