Watched You,Me and Dupree tonight, which turned out to be even better film than I thought. I always expect Owen Wilson to be funny, however the entire cast deliver the goods including Michael Douglas and Matt Dillon. Kate Hudson is just so cute as well which I guess helps. The film starts will Dillon and Hudson’s characters getting married in Hawaii. Dillion’s best friend is Dupree played by Wilson. Shortly after the wedding Wilson lands on Dillon’s doorstep after his girlfriend leaves him and he consequentially loses his job.
Dillon convinces Hudson that he has to let Dupree stay for a while. Which leads to all sorts of hilarity. As the film progresses it is Dillon that starts hating Dupree and Hudson grows fond of Dupree. This goes on whilst Dillon is feeling the pressure of working for Hudson’s father played by Douglas. Things come to a head with Dillon losing it.
You, Me and Dupree is not a romantic comedy, from the adverts and even from my description it might seem to some that it is. However it is an extremely funny film, that everyone should see.

Watched Samuel L Jackson’s new film Snakes on a Plane. Which was quite cheesy as I thought it would be, but better than I expected. Something worth seeing, unless of course you have issues with snakes. I don’t but even I was freaked out a couple of times. The funniest death has to be the guy taking a pee.

Just got back from watching Miami Vice. I’m still a little mixed up about it. I really like the film however it was not Miami Vice in the classic sense. Mann has delivered an amazing film once again.
The storyline is complex but the plot is quite simple, amazingly. It is not a buddy cop film thank god, that would have really annoyed me. You don’t have to be a fan of the original series to enjoy this film, since it has nothing in common with the TV show apart from the title and the characters. In fact if that is what you are after go watch something else since you will find this film boring in that respect. The flow of the film is fairly fast however there are some slow bits there do some character development, which does make the story predictable to point however you still want to watch this film through to the end.
As for the acting, for me Jamiee Foxx gave the best performance, Colin Farrell was good as well but I just don’t like him so you can interpret that as bias. Good to see Gong Li in a film after so long. The rest of the supporting cast were also good a couple of faces to keep an eye out in the future. The soundtrack is excellent I happended to pick up the CD whilst I was in Pakistan and had heard it a couple of times. So I was interested to see how it mealded into the film and it does very well. Both Heat and Collateral have excellent OST so I was expecting the same from this film, and I’m not disappointed.
