Well it has been nearly a month since I got back however O2 have still not sorted out my BlackBerry account. All they had to do was take global roaming off, and add UK service, However 4 weeks on and still no e-mail I am not a happy bunny. Have already managed to get my line rental for the month credited back. Lets hope they sort themselves out soon. Considering getting a Nokia E61 which will allow me to pull mail from POP3 which means I can take the BlackBerry Service out of the loop. I don’t have a problem with the server software it pretty much does what it says it is meant to. However O2 people seem to have some real issues managing it and recording account changes. Getting Global Roaming switched on prior to my travels was a pain in the ass to begin with.

Well it looks like my 2.5 inch enclosure was hosed. Got a new one from MicroMend, the drive had not totally failed yet, so I was able to copy all of my data of the old drive. Yipee!!!
Yes I paid money to watch Little Man this evening. I did enjoy it more than I thought I was going too. The Wayans brothers have delivered another great film based around a stupid concept perhaps, but it is funny. Not a must see film by any means however if you are out with the guys and you need a few laugh this will do the trick.
Have finally rebuilt my Mac after getting back from my holiday, the main reason for the delay was I could not locate my Tiger DVD. Which was actually still at my parents place for some reason. Any way, I’m up and running again. Now I still have to rescue my data from the old hard drive which I hope to do this weekend when I drop it of at MicroMend. I could not get my enclosure to read the data properly, in fact it was making the bad drive noises.
Well Mati could not resist any more, he went and bought an XBox 360. He got the complete pack with 2 games, Moto GP and Ninety Nine Knights. In addition I bought Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW) and Table Tennis. First impression of the console are that it definitely puts out HD right, DVD play back is better than my media center which is to be expected since I’m not upscaling to HD except when I use TheatreTek.
The games look great, still trying to work out how they play. quite like the Table Tennis and GRAW. Dead Rising is out next week, and hence the reason my brother has bought the console since he reckons that it will be the best 360 game to date. He has been playing demo’s at a friends place. Most of his friends already have 360s since they are all in the game business like him.
XBox Live is also vastly improved and the Marketplace is really well implemented, I think Sony are going to have a real hard time beating it. The dash board has changed greatly from the original XBox it running in the background properly and is available even whilst a game is running which is spot on. you can even have multiple conversation going on, the first channel is the in-game channel. In addition you can talk on other channels to other people in your friends list. The hooks for the new webcam which is due out soon can be seen in the UI. I haven’t played with the media center extender yet, but I will do at some point.
