Die Hard 4.0

Just got back from seeing Die Hard 4.0. I did enjoy John McClane lastest outing, Bruce Willis did a great job. I guess it is a role that comes easily to him. The plot is very high tech, stretching a bit in places. But still beliveable by the majority of the audience. Justin Long did a good job of playing McClane’s side kick. He is a hacker who has in-advertanty helped the bad guys take down the nation’s computer systems causing havoc. In the end it is about money, just like the other Die Hard movies.

Timothy Oliphant plays the bad guy. He has got typecast playing bad guys good to see he actually pulls this one of well. His side kick girlfriend is Mai Lihn played by the amazingly hot Maggie Q. There is also a cameo from one of my favourite film makers, but I’m going to give that away.

While some of the story elements were predictable you were still drawn into the film by the action sequences, and the pace of the story was spot on. Even if you have not managed to see the previous films (Hard to believe, but one of the guys I was with has not seen any of them!) you will still enjoy this film. I’m not going to compare it directly with the previous films because it is much of the same, yet in new. Len Wiseman directed this, not bad for a third film.

Well that is one of the big films for the summer out of the way. Not that fussed about Harry Potter. The big one for the year is still to come. The expectations set by Transformers is still high. Only 22 days to go.
